# Introduction for Athletes

> Welcome to the athlete portal. Discover everything you can do in Rocky Global.

## Who is the Athlete in Rocky Global?

The **Athlete** (or Participant) is the end user who takes part in sporting events organized through the platform. As an athlete you can:

* Explore and search for sporting events.
* Register for races, competitions, and activities.
* Manage your athletic profile.
* Purchase official event products (t-shirts, medals, kits).
* Receive notifications and communications from the organizer.

## Recommended flow to get started

    Select your category and complete the registration form. If you didn't have an account, one is created automatically with the email you used, and you'll receive a link by email to set your password.
